Black Legends – King, Queens, Warriors are We! UNIA (Universal Negro Improvement Associations) President Mervyn Weekes is proud to collaborate with MSOPA (Montreal School of Performing Arts) on this production.

Black Legends sheds a light on recent research, previously undiscovered information, and hidden facts from Black History. Performance of various monologues, scenes, poems, speeches are based on historical facts and events.

Let us celebrate Black History everyday with a beautiful collage of colors, experiences, shared amongst people in our schools and communities.

“Won’t it be wonderful when Black history, Native American history, Jewish history, and all of history is taught from one book. Just history.” — Maya Angelou
