When Africa Had Empires focuses on positive aspects in Black History. Through various monologues and scenes based on historical facts, we explore how Black people were the first parents of mankind with over 200,000 thousand years of culture. Learn about Queen Sheba, General Hannibal, The Moors and the richest man ever, Mansa Musa.

UNIA hosts an educational awareness program each year in honour of Black History Month to raise funds for their scholarship programs. Once again, they are proud to collaborate with director Josa Maule and her school (MSOPA) which have

been serving Montreal’s acting community for 26 years.

 Black History is Everyone’s History!

We thank you for your continued support and contributions which make it possible for UNIA to remain a valuable & respected part of the Montreal community. For more information or to purchase tickets please contact Mervyn Weekes ~ 514-487-2790.
